Preparations Underway for the International Business Forum – Baghdad International Fair
The Preparatory Committee of the International Business Forum, held within the framework of the 49th edition of the Baghdad International Fair, convened a high-level coordination meeting chaired by Dr. Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani, Director General of the General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services, with the participation of senior representatives from key governmental and institutional bodies.
The meeting focused on final preparations for the Forum, which will take place on 5 February 2026, highlighting its strategic importance as a platform to strengthen engagement between local and international companies through structured B2B meetings, while supporting economic partnerships and attracting quality investment into Iraq.
Discussions also underscored the launch of the Investment Map in parallel with the Forum, positioning it as a practical reference for investors, alongside dedicated support for the National Investment Commission, including a special pavilion to showcase clean energy investment opportunities—reinforcing Iraq’s commitment to sustainable development and effective public–private partnerships.
The International Business Forum represents a joint effort involving Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, ICC Iraq and strategic partners, and aims to further elevate the regional and international standing of the Baghdad International Fair.
